I was just reading my entry from today last year… it’s so depressing.

I’m somewhat rethinking the idea of a journal that can be so easily searched. I’ve kept a paper journal for most of my life, and fortunately it doesn’t allow me to instantly see entries from certain days, I need to put effort into it. I don’t think I want to remember some of these things… I’ve mentioned to a friend a while back that I might just wipe out an entire category of this journal… when one cannot delete someone from their thoughts, perhaps at least they can delete all other reminders of them… once I move… there will be nothing left.

    Don’t delete the entries…tar them up, put them on CD and stash them away somewhere. Don’t look at them until you’re ready to. I’ve got tomes of entries I’ve written that would break my heart to read again, but I don’t dare dispose of them.

    BTW, I’m also a packrat.
