Well, much as expected the backup script from CPanel brought down services again this morning, damnit. I really like the way it packages accounts though, so they’re fully portable… but I can’t be having the server die every morning around 5am. I’ve killed backup processing through this ‘new’ script and will start using the old script. I’ve also registered positivefusion.org .net and .info, I’ll be using positivefusion.info as the secondary support website. Thankfully I was able to ’swap’ hosting accounts for this purpose with another webhosting provider. The data centre offered me a remote reboot switch… as you can imagine I’m chomping for that one, so hopefully I’ll get that taken care of and installed soon… then no more waiting for support people; I can just send the reboot request myself, whee!
