Promising Television
I rarely write about television because most of the time it’s trash. There are two programs currently airing that warrant some attention though.
I was somewhat dissapointed when Fox (or was it UPN?) cancelled “American Embassy” though it was a fairly weak and overly “girly” show, haha… but it looks like A&E combined some of the good qualities of “American Embassy” with your quasi-classic spy drama in their “MI-5″ which airs at 10pm Tuesdays.. I’ve seen all of the episodes thus far and it continues to get better, which is quite nice considering I was hooked from episode one.
Secondly on FX, there’s Nip/Tuck, it’s a bit… completely and utterly insane, but I think it really typifies our appearance-obsessed culture. Unfortunately this also airs at 10pm on Tuesday (the bastids!), but thankfully A&E reairs “MI-5″ at 11:30PM, which conveniently allows for a rerun of “Will & Grace” in between. ;)
