Scary Radioactive Soap

Lesson: One must be very careful when using the LIME dye… even when toned down by mixing it with dull dyes it has a tendency to look radioactive.

Anyway, this is an homage to Paul Verlaine & Arthur Rimbaud, the French poets.. quite fond of absinthe.

Dude I really like that green soap…the wilder the better I like it!
But what is this oven process? I am unfamiliar with making soap in the oven?

Well, there are two different oven processes, one which you cook the soap in a pot in the oven, just like you’d do it in the crockpot or double boiler, which results in the typical HP soap look.

I did what is known as “cold process, oven process” which you make the soap as usual per CP directions, put it into the mold, and then pop the mold (a wooden one) into a heated oven and “bake” it for 2 or so hours. This supposedly gives the benefits of hot process with the texture of coldprocess.
