As if the whole lack of studs situation prompting heavy re-evaluation of the shelving issue wasn’t enough, now we have the case of the missing carpet!

I had this carpet piece, sized somewhat in the area of 10′x12′ or so. I used to have it down on the floor of my bedroom back in the days when I had that room before… I thought it was folded up and under the bed, but apparently it wasn’t… or at least it isn’t anymore.

So, yeah, I need to find that carpet, need to get the correct screws to attach the IKEA shelves in their new locations, need to get furring strips to fix the stud situation, and then new shelves that’ll work for that area. I’m quite displeased with how difficult this has become.

So frustrating! I just spent a good bit of time searching through my boxes of stuff, thinking that perhaps the carpet might just be there, nope! So the options are a) it was thrown out b) brother matt took it c) it has somehow found its way into the storage area under the stairs. I guess I’ll need to ask the woman in the morning… she’ll probably not know, but I guess there’s a tiny little possibility that she might have an idea.
