The Traditional Date.

A few weeks ago I’d mentioned to Patrick, after some sort of conversation about going out to see a movie, that would could have a “traditional date” hehe. Last weekend, I suppose as a result of how we didn’t get to see each other at all given that our plans all sort of got mashed about, he mentioned taking me out to dinner Saturday, so all good with that, and we decided to make it a traditional date, i.e. dinner and a movie. I was rather excited for some odd sort of reason, I guess because we didn’t really have any traditional dating really, it was always more of a hanging out with each other, which of course is fine with me.

So, we went out to this bar and grill place, kind of humerous because he knew practically everyone there, lol… I guess that’s fitting in a sense too. We killed a little time at Border’s… It seemed so strange not to be running to the children’s section to re-read Don’t Let the Pidgeon Drive the Bus for the 100th time, but I was tempted to do it just for the hell of it; I did think better of that though, seemed a bit like muddying the waters somehow.

Hellboy was a good movie, even though I wasn’t exactly sure I’d like it, it proved to have a fairly good mix of romance, comedy, and action… along with the whole religion and demons stuff — always a winner.

After the movie we stopped by the Epic conveniently located next to the train station, heh… it would have been the perfect spot for the total flipout and murder, lol… kind of creepy considering I didn’t know there was even a bar there we’d be going to. That little moment reminded me of when I met Andy at the mall in Lancaster and then took a wrong turn to get the to brewery we were going to for dinner, hah… never a good idea to drive a boy you’ve just met into deep amish country.

Overall the whole evening was quite nice… yay for the traditional date.
