My Mum called me a few minutes ago explaining that I-81 had been totally closed due to truck accidents. US-11, the alternative route, was backed up quite terribly also so that wasn’t an option, so she needed to know how to get home from wherever she actually was. I pulled up Mapquest and tried to get an idea of what road she was on and in which direction she was travelling… finally got a handle on that and proceeded to verify it by asking if she was coming to train tracks, etc. I started clicking around on the mapquest map and telling her which direction to go in, which roads and directions to turn. It was really rather amusing… I felt like a little in-car navigation system… ;)
