I’ve had my Wii for quite a while now, my brother Matt bought me Tiger Woods Golf, and I have Wii Play, in addition to the sports game disc that comes with the console.

I did buy Rayman Raving Rabids, but it’s really sort of a let down. In fact, I regret purchasing it. It is fun when playing with someone else, but it’s repetitive and the levels all need to be unlocked paying in single person mode. Whoever made that decision needs to be beaten upside the head with the game box.

I keep thinking about signing up for Gamefly, seems like a great thing — Netflix for games — right? The price is really high compared to Netflix… even if the games cost so much more and are more prone to theft, whatever. I find that high price to be quite a blocker problem for me.

A Wii game is $50. If I keep the game I’ve ‘rented’ for two months I might as well have bought it! Granted, Gamefly would avoid situations where I buy a game and hate it. It would probably work better if I was sitting/standing at the Wii for a good portion of my free time, versus sporadic gaming that a more adult lifestyle brings.

Well, they do have the single disc program that is $16 per month, so it’d be more like 3 months then ownage. I just don’t know, I suppose it would be more ideal for the sorts of games that once played have limited replay value. I still don’t think I could bring myself to buy the Harry Potter game, but I would like to play it.
